Dr Johannes Boroh

About

I am a senior lecturer in aviation studies with 29 years of experience in the airline industry. Prior to joining Kingston University in 2022, I worked for four different major full-service airlines and two different low-cost carriers. Apart from flying as captain/training captain/instructor, I also have work experience in other departments, such as information systems, flight support, and flight operations.

I obtained my Doctorate in Business Administration from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan in 2020. My doctoral thesis is on the 'successful short- to medium-haul airline business models'. I also have an MBA from the University of South Australia, graduated in 2002, and conducted my MBA final year project with BAe System Flight Training in Adelaide (now it is known as Flight Training Adelaide). Last but not least, my undergraduate research is on the SWOT analysis of Singapore Airlines, it was defended at Nusantara Institute of Business in Jakarta in 2000.

Additionally, I have developed/conducted online-sessions/training on a few different modules for several organisations, including major international airlines and many other large non-aviation companies.
