Mr Michael Herrmann

About

As well as teaching sustainability in architecture and the built environment, Michael has been leading collaboration on the restoration and modernisation of a medieval property with the intention of developing it as a resource centre for sustainable education and low impact  lifestyles.

He has international work experience in the fields of urban regeneration, community engagement in the design process and education for sustainability. As well as leading the development of the original masterplan, he helped develop the theory and the implementation of social, ecological and financial sustainability at the £60 million Earth Centre project. 

His research has focused on the design of the built environment for human health wellbeing, experiential learning, sustainable urban transportation.
