About
After graduating with my Chemistry BSc (Hons) from Kingston University, I completed my MSc in Chemical Research from the University College of London (UCL) where I specialised in physical, materials and computational chemistry. I returned to Kingston University to complete my PhD working on the synthesis and characterisation of organic-inorganic nanocomposites for photovoltaic, optoelectronic and semiconducting devices. I joined the teaching staff at Kingston University in 2019.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) Chemistry
- MSc Chemical Research
- PhD Materials Chemistry
Domains
My research interests span several areas of chemistry and are currently focused around:
Materials chemistry
- Semiconductors and semiconductor devices.
- Conducting polymers.
- Materials for post-Li ion batteries and renewable energies.
- Intercalation compounds, chemistry and solid-state ionic conductors.
Computational chemistry
- Electronic properties and design of organic semiconductors and single molecular donor-acceptor systems.
- Electronic properties of conducting polymers
- Probing organic reactivity and reaction mechanisms.
- Inorganic coordination complexes and chemical bonding.
Organic chemistry
- Solventless and solid-state green organic synthesis.
