"Faith in Evolution: What has God got to do with the latest scientific account of human origins?" Annual Faith & Spirituality Lecture

This year's annual Faith and Spirituality Lecture focuses on the relationship between science and religion.

The scientific method has transformed our understanding of self and the world, but its integral limits mean its results point beyond itself.

For example, in the latest scientific account of human origins the emergence of symbolic thinking is linked to that of a clear religious sensibility. How do Palaeoanthropology and contemporary religious understanding make sense of this?

The Revd Dr Jeremy Law (Dean of Chapel at Canterbury Christ Church University, and a geologist) will discuss this and answer questions from the audience.

The lecture is free and open to students, staff and members of the general public.

Refreshments provided from 6.00pm. Lecture starts at 6.15pm.
