Momentum dance works 2011 movement towards the Olympics

Kingston University's Sport and Recreation department is proud to announce a 'feel good' evening of dance inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming to London. The performance will be a celebration of the diverse cultures that will come together during this exciting time for London and its community.

This unique 'one night only' performance is not to be missed:

  • Date: Saturday 16 April 2011
  • Time: 7.30pm
  • Venue: The Arthur Cotterell Theatre (Kingston College, Kingston Hall Road, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2AQ)

So why not come and see what Kingston has to offer and perhaps be inspired to try something new?

Local community groups and dance academies have been invited to perform alongside Kingston University to create the spirit of the Games. The audience will be treated to a variety of dance styles such as Bollywood, belly dancing, ballet, hip hop, street, contemporary, jazz, Capoeira, Chinese and Ukrainian dance.

We are thrilled to announce guest appearances from Karan and his Bollywood dance group KSPARK. This group have built an impressive performance portfolio, which includes the IIFA Awards, events at Sadler's Wells, Royal Opera House and Wembley Arena, as well as Trouble TV's Bump 'N' Grind, BBC's Blue Peter, Michael Jackson's 47th Birthday Event, the Mr and Miss England Finals 2007, Walker's Onion Bhaji commercial and international tours in India, Dubai and Europe. For a sneak preview visit their website www.karanlive.com.

Tickets are £6 for Kingston University students and staff and £8 for general public and must be purchased in advance from the Fitness Centre, located at the Penrhyn Road campus, Kingston University. Tickets will not be available on the night.
