Your report is one of the chief ways in which the University receives comparative advice about academic standards and the processes and procedures associated with assessment. The University also wishes to receive feedback on whether you are provided with, as far as is practical, opportunities and supporting information to carry out your role.
Your report is a very significant part of the University's quality assurance procedures and will be considered at School, Faculty and University levels. You will receive written feedback on how any issues raised by you have been addressed.
The report will be regarded as a public document within the University and form part of the documentation for KCEP+ (subject review) panels, professional bodies and student representatives. Please note that under the Freedom of Information Act, the University might be required to release external examiner reports to individuals upon request. It is therefore important that individuals, particularly students, should not be named or easily identifiable.
It is understood that your commentary will be based, in part, on working with the University, but may also be informed by your own experience of examining in your own institution, examining elsewhere, work with professional bodies or through employing graduates/diplomates from other institutions.
