Occupational and Business Psychology Professional Doctorate: Entry requirements

What you need to apply for this course

Accredited MSc in Occupational/Business Psychology at Merit or above.

For those who have completed an initial accredited undergraduate degree in psychology and hold GBC (graduate basis for Chartership), the doctoral degree will be mapped onto British Psychological Society (BPS) Stage 2 qualification and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements. Assessments will be designed to meet the requirements of dual accreditation.

Students who have achieved chartered status (CPsychol) as recognised by both the BPS and HCPC are exempt from the Professional Practice Portfolio.

All students must be within relevant employment at the time of enrolment.

English language requirements

All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirement, which is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no element below 6.0. Make sure you read our full guidance about English language requirements, which includes details of other qualifications we consider.

Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements could be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Applicants from a recognised majority English speaking countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.
