Student support
Coming to university for the first time can be a big step. At Kingston we do everything we can to make sure you get all the help and support you need.
Practical help
It might be the first time you live away from home so:
- our Accommodation Service will help you find somewhere to live;
- the Student Funding Service can give you a hand with your finances;
- our Health Centre offers GP appointments and complementary therapies;
- the University nursery will help if you have children; and
- the University's faith groups give spiritual support.
Time to study
Our top-quality resources will help you make the most of your study time, including:
- an extensive computer network;
- the library;
- English language support for international students; and
- disability and dyslexia support.
Extra support
You'll also have access to:
- a personal tutor to support and advise you;
- the Student Affairs Office, which can help you sort out any problems or complaints;
- Kingston University Students' Union, which will help you settle in and offers independent advice; and
- support forums and more if you're a mature student.
