What to expect at an Open Day
To give you a chance to meet us and explore our campuses and facilities we hold regular Open Days at Kingston University.
On the day, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Attend subject-specific sessions led by our lecturers.
- Drop in to see an academic for any subject-specific questions you may have.
- Visit the student services exhibition to find out more about admissions, accommodation, funding and much more.
- Chat to the Students’ Union about student life and find out about our clubs and societies.
- Visit some of our accommodation.
- Take a guided tour of our campus and facilities.
- Chat to our friendly student ambassadors about student life at Kingston.

Open Days give you a chance to explore Kingston University’s location, campus and courses.
We’ve tailored our Open Day for each campus to give you a real sense of what studying at Kingston University would feel like.
Below, you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our undergraduate Open Days.
At a Kingston University Open Day, you will be able to attend:
- Welcome talks: Learn about life at Kingston University and ask questions.
- Subject sessions: Find out about your course, meet staff and prospective classmates, and explore some of the course facilities. The subject sessions are tailored specifically for your subject of interest.
- Campus tours: Explore the campus and take a look around by joining a guided tour. The tours will run throughout the day.
- Accommodation tours and exhibition: See where you could live when you study at Kingston University. Visit the accommodation exhibition or joine one of the accommodation tours that run throughout the day.
- Student Support drop-ins: Chat to support services staff to learn more about Careers and Employability, Academic Support Services, Study Abroad options, Kingston University’s Disability Support Services and KU Cares.
Staff members and student ambassadors will be on campus to support you on the day, so if you have a question, need help, or want to hear about the student experience, you are welcome to say hi!
Complimentary tea, coffee and treats will also be available for you to enjoy.
We strongly encourage you to book your Open Day place in advance so that we can send you important information and timings ahead of the event.

Yes, you are welcome to bring family and friends to our Open Days at Kingston University.
We recommend planning your day around the timing of your subject session, as this is the best opportunity to learn more about your course and meet academic staff and current students.
A detailed Open Day programme will be emailed to you approximately one week before the event. This will include the timings for your subject session, welcome talks, accommodation tours and campus tours.
When planning your visit, please allow enough time to attend the activities that interest you before or after your subject session. Most subject sessions last around one hour, accommodation tours take approximately one hour, and campus tours take at least 30 minutes.
Please check the Open Day programme for the full schedule, including the timings of the last tours of the day.

Kingston University has four campuses. Please make sure you visit the right campus for your subject of interest.
If you have registered to attend one of our Open Days, look out for emails from us. These will include your personalised schedule for the day, with details of which campus to attend for your main subject of interest.

If you would like to visit more than one campus during the Open Day, you can travel between campuses with our intersite bus service.
Our University campuses are accessible from Kingston train station and Surbiton train station.

Our booking form only allows you to book one subject session. However, if you're interested in exploring more than one subject and the session times do not clash, you are welcome to attend additional subject sessions on the day.
The programme for each campus will be published on this page closer to the event date, allowing you to view session timings and plan your visit around your chosen subject session(s).

However, be sure to check the event programmes to confirm whether you can fit in more than one subject talk, alongside other tours and other activities you may wish to do during the day.
