Procurement
Find out about procurement at Kingston University
The Corporate Procurement Unit is a dedicated centre of excellence for all procurement-related matters on behalf of Kingston University.
We promote efficient, effective and sustainable procurement. We work with our customers and suppliers to ensure we maximise the value for money on all expenditure covering goods, services and works. We are also keen to attract added-value opportunities through our procurements, especially those that add value to the experiences gained by our students.
Our Procurement Strategy (PDF) provides a roadmap outlining where we are aiming to further develop our services. Our Supplier Relationship Management Strategy (PDF) sets out how we intend to work collaboratively with our suppliers.
Our Procurement policy identifies the key drivers for procurement. The policy explains how procurement will contribute to the delivery of value for money across Kingston University, remove any inefficiencies and build sustainable and ethical supply chains.
Kingston University is a member of, and works collaboratively with, the London Universities Purchasing Consortium.
Sustainable procurement
Kingston University is committed to embedding the principles of sustainability within its procurement activities. This means we will make a balanced assessment of the social, ethical, environmental and economic impacts of our spend throughout our procurement process, and work with our supply chain to improve these where possible.
We are keen to work with suppliers who can support our approach to sustainability and can demonstrate continual improvement in environmental management and ethics.
