About
I am an interdisciplinary designer and researcher focused on design anthropology, sustainability practices, and material cultures.
A former architect, my current project at Kingston School of Art, Sustainability in the Making: Craft Programmes for Eco-Social Change is a Techne DTP, done in partnership with the Crafts Council UK. The research is a graphic ethnography study that explores how social craft initiative contribute to building cultures of sustainability and then enabling sustainability change.
I hold an MArch in Architecture Design and a BA in Architecture Science from Roma Tre University. I have been working in HE since 2012 as a lecturer and design researcher in universities and design institutes in Peru, Spain, Italy, and the UK. I am a signatory of the design justice principles, and have been working at the intersection of design, activism, artisanship, local cultures, and sustainability. In 2009 I co-founded the do-tank AK0 - architettura a kilometro zero, a non-profit enterprise since 2014, where I have been part of the Board of Directors until 2020 and an active member until January 2024.
Alongside my research, I have worked an independent designer, lecturer, and illustrator since 2014. My work has been presented in international conferences, talks and seminars. I regularly write about design and craft anthropology, activism, and environmental justice.
