Dr Dimitris Venizelos

I am an architect, urban designer and a scholar in Human Geography, with 10 years of experience in academic research and consultation for the built environment. My research expertise focuses on cultural and political geography, urban design and development.

I have taught courses on the History and Theory of Architecture at the University of Cyprus (2018), and on Urban Studies at the Department of Geography, King's College London (2019–21). I currently contribute to the work of the Department of Architecture and Landscape at Kingston University as a senior lecturer, and as a course leader for the MLA Landscape Architecture and MA Urban Design courses.

I am a registered architect in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and Greece. As a practitioner I have worked on a range of award-winning architectural, urban design and planning projects internationally.

I hold a Diploma (MA) of Architect Engineer (2007–13) from the National Technical University of Athens; a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University with distinction, where I studied as a Fulbright Fellow (2013–15); and a PhD in Geography from King's College London (2024), funded by the LAHP/AHRC and the Sylvia Ioannou Foundation.
