About
I have been at Kingston University since 1987 (was Kingston Polytechnic until 1992) as a lecturer and tutor and have witnessed many changes. Most of my teaching for undergraduates are for chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences although I have also taught chemistry to resources sciences students. My main teaching and research interest are in biomedical application of polymers in particular in ophthalmic applications. I have successfully supervised and co supervised a number of PhD and MPhil students. I am also Course Director for Foundation Pharmacy and a designated Personal Tutor to care leavers in our department.
I am passionate about helping students to reach their full potential and use every opportunity to encourage and inspire them in and out of classes. I am a trained Self Empowerment trainer and have been an avid learner of personal and professional development. I am keen to help students to expand and develop their personal as well as academic potential.
