I teach in English/American literature and creative writing.

Research interests
Literature and the environment, modern fiction, contemporary poetry, ethnopoetics and the interface between literature and anthropology (particularly myth).
Outside the University I work in arboriculture, and as an ecological surveyor, specialising in trees, raptors and bats.
