About
I am a Lecturer in Cyber Security and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a Postgraduate Placement Coordinator in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics. My research focuses on multichannel steganography, secure communication protocols, game-theoretic cyber-risk analysis, adversarial machine learning, adaptive intrusion detection, distributed ledger technology and mobile-payment security. My work investigates hybrid steganographic models, protection against active multichannel attacks, adversarial-advantage-based risk assessment, and intelligent intrusion-detection systems using reinforcement learning, meta-learning and uncertainty quantification.
My teaching covers Cyber Crime and Digital Forensics, Cryptography and Network Security, and Cryptography and Applications. As module leader for Cyber Crime and Digital Forensics, I combine theoretical concepts with practical exercises in digital investigation, evidence acquisition, file-system analysis, operating-system artefacts and memory forensics. My teaching aims to connect current cybersecurity research with real-world security challenges while developing students’ technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
