About
I am a Lecturer in Physiology and Pharmacology and I teach undergraduate Pharmacology and contribute to the teaching on Pharmaceutical Sciences.
My research interests are in the cell biology and signalling of leukocyte and cancer cells during cell migration. I am researching the effect of novel drugs on this process and I am interested in how they affect this crucial step in inflammation and tumour cell metastasis.
I obtained my PhD on the Molecular Basis & Cellular Basis of Disease from the University of Edinburgh, where I studied the effect of glucocorticoids on macrophage function.
During postdoctoral work at the Randall Centre, King's College London and UCL, I then researched T-cell migration & signalling events during inflammatory processes and leukaemic cell metastasis.
