Dr Simon Lambe

I am a Senior Lecturer in Academic Skills Support within the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment. I am based in the ECE Academic Success Centre (SASC) at Penrhyn Road (SB1019). This role involves developing students' critical thinking skills on a one-to-one basis or in a workshop setting. My academic background, meanwhile, is in late medieval and early modern English history, more specifically gentry and royal relations in early Tudor England. I have written and presented widely on the subject and have a particular interest in the Paulet family of Hinton St George, Somerset. Professionally, I have used my expertise over the last ten years to support students in Higher Education to enhance their writing and academic skills. I am particularly interested in Peer Assisted Learning (PAL), learning technologies and learning and teaching theory and practice.
