About
I have worked with international students and speakers of English as a second or additional language for over 20 years, both overseas and in the UK.
I currently work in the EAPD [English for Academic and Professional Development] department where I am one of the Academic Co-ordinators on our BALEAP accredited Pre-Sessional English course. I am also module leader on KU English: Elevate your Language Skills, which offers English courses to support Kingston's international students in developing their academic and general language skills.
My research interests lie in learner identity formation in a second language, widening participation, inclusive education and critical pedagogy.
