Mr Peter Wolf

I have been a part time Lecturer in Economics at Kingston University since January 2020, following a professional career in London spanning corporate finance, investment and management consulting where I held Board level roles. I also give in-house courses on accounting, investment and banking to new graduate trainees at financial institutions and professional services firms. I am a Chartered Accountant by background. Between 2013 and 2016 I was a Visiting Fellow for professional development at the New College of Humanities, London. From 2017 to 2019 I studied part time for an MA in Financial Economics at Kingston University, graduating with Distinction and an academic prize in November 2019.

During my professional career I worked widely in Europe and the USA, leading or assisting with assignments for corporate clients covering: financial investigations, restructuring, IT systems, performance improvement and venture capital investment appraisal. I have also undertaken industry studies for UK competition regulators. Overall, I gained experience of many different industries but came to specialise in the technology sector and financial services.

My principal teaching subjects are financial economics, corporate finance, investment, capital markets and banking. I also have a great interest in macroeconomics, particularly on the interrelationships between productivity growth, technological change and economic growth according to both mainstream and heterodox growth theories.
