About
I am from Portugal and qualified there, as a Nurse, in 2014. In 2017, I completed my Midwifery short course and worked in NHS Trusts within South East London.
I am very passionate about better preparation for parenthood during pregnancy, aiming to support parents in this so special and stressful moment of their lives. I have designed and delivered Parent Education both within the NHS and privately.
Research has also become a very important part of my life and career, wanting to find more evidence-based answers to practice questions. I have conducted research in Father Involvement in Pregnancy and Early Years.
During my clinical journey I have also worked with the Education Team to support my colleagues in their skills and clinical practice, as well as continuous training and development.
In 2023, I have joined the Midwifery team at Kingston University and I really enjoy supporting students developing their knowledge and experience in midwifery.
