About

After studying at the University Paris IV-La Sorbonne, I wrote a ‘Doctorat d'État' at the University Paris 8 under the supervision of Gilles Deleuze (1987), who prefaced the publication (Les Temps Capitaux, 1991 / Capital Times, 1996).

I taught at the Universities and Schools of Fine Arts of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), Vienna (Akbild), Karlsruhe (HFG) and Goldsmiths (London), before joining the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP) at Middlesex University in 2004 as Senior Research Fellow, then Professor of Contemporary French Philosophy (2007).

I moved to take up a professorship at the University of Paris 8 in January 2011, shortly after the CRMEP moved to Kingston. I hold a fractional position in the CRMEP.
