Study aerospace and aircraft engineering

We specialise in a variety of areas including aircraft, aerospace, aviation and space technology, offering innovative degrees with excellent links to industry and cutting-edge facilities. Our facilities include a Lear Jet, a 747's cockpit, a flight simulator, a satellite ground station, a rocket lab and open and closed channel wind tunnels.

We offer both BEng and MEng degrees, which are accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).

Our aerospace and aviation engineering courses will teach you aerodynamics propulsion, structures, dynamics and materials and enhance your learning through project-based activities. You'll put theory straight into practice, applying what you learn to the problems of aerospace design. Our aircraft engineering course is the only UK degree that mirrors the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-147– approved courses.

As well as developing your practical engineering skills, our courses are designed to boost your employability and to prepare you for senior positions and management roles in the future. Our graduates work at Boeing, BAE Systems, Qinetiq, Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Thales, General Electric and British Airways.
