Our pioneering creative and cultural industries department explores what happens when creative practice is applied to commercial contexts, markets, audiences, products and services. Students here are given space and experiences to think about how the creative and cultural industries currently work, how they are changing and what kind of contribution they can make to their development.
Thinking through making, you'll work on a number of live briefs and industry projects throughout your course. You'll be able to experiment and learn in our industry-standard, cutting-edge workshops, studios and making spaces.
You'll be taught by a rich mix of academics, practitioners, academic-practitioners, industry-based mentors and guest speakers ensuring you're equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to thrive in the creative and cultural industries.
Through our Creative Agency, Studio KT1, you'll have the opportunity to work on paid live briefs for organisations such as The Bentalls Centre, The Science Museum and Veolia gaining valuable work experience and increasing employability before graduation.
