Study psychology and sociology

For the subject area psychology, we're ranked joint 7th out of 107 for graduate employment amongst UK universities (Guardian University League table 2022).

Our psychology courses are designed to develop your skills for a wide range of careers. Kingston has close links with schools, hospitals, and clinics, offering real-life environments to learn in and adding valuable work experience to your CV.

Your studies are supported by purpose-built research laboratories and psychological analysis equipment including eye trackers, a driving simulator, EEG (recording brain activity) and specialist survey software.

If you're keen to explore today's social inequalities or how globalisation has impacted our everyday lives, these are the types of questions you can examine in our sociology degree. You'll be taught in a vibrant department with student conferences and research seminars, and you'll take your learning out of the classroom, broadening your experience of work environments and cultural spaces through museums and galleries.
