Advice to help you settle into life at Kingston University
We want you to get the most out of your time at Kingston. That's why we offer lots of practical advice and support to help you settle both into the UK and into life at Kingston University. Whether you need information relating to accommodation, your studies, travel, social activities or healthcare, we are there to help you.
Our full range of support services includes:
- a dedicated team in the Study Abroad International Learning (SAIL) Office which is your first point of contact from enquiry, admission to enrolment right through to departure;
- academic advice before and during your studies;
- accommodation arranged before you arrive (provided you meet our application deadlines);
- immigration advice;
- airport pick-up service – we'll meet you at Heathrow or Gatwick airports on the pre-set arrival day and take you to your accommodation;
- comprehensive orientation at the start of each semester including a seminar about learning and teaching techniques in the UK;
- orientation events;
- town and campus tours; and
- social events and trips each semester.
Students have easy access to:
- our learning resources centres;
- an extensive network of more than 2,000 computers;
- The Union of Kingston Students – clubs, societies and social events;
- sports facilities;
- health and counselling services, including a Health Centre;
- disability and dyslexia support; and
- faith support – advice on faith and religion, including where a particular faith can be practised.
