Banking and Finance Masters (MSc): After you graduate

Where this course will take you

The course will prepare you for a variety of careers in banking, investment banking and financial services. In addition, the transferable skills and knowledge you obtain will prepare you for wider career paths in finance and financial management.

The Banking and Finance MSc helps to prepare you for roles such as:

  • trader;
  • financial analyst;
  • investment banker;
  • portfolio/fund Manager;

Kingston Business School's Banking and Finance MSc graduates have gone on to careers in major banks and government and non-government offices, such as:

Continuing your research

Some graduates choose to continue their research. Kingston Business School's academic staff are currently supervising a number of PhD/DBA students, and are willing to supervise suitably qualified doctoral candidates in all areas of:

  • divestments and corporate restructuring;
  • corporate dividend policy;
  • capital structure choices;
  • bancassurance;
  • insurance and risk management;
  • Islamic banking and insurance (Takaful); and
  • regulation and governance of financial institutions.

Kingston University supports our graduates with the new Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa. This allows non-EEA graduates who have an outstanding business idea to put into practice in the UK, and who do not have a job offer, the opportunity to stay in the UK for up to 12 months (which might be extended for an additional 12 months).
