About
I received my Bachelor of Pharmacy (1997) and Master of Pharmacy (2000) degrees from India. I subsequently moved to the UK in 2002 and pursued my PhD, which was funded by the School of Life and Health Sciences at Aston University, Birmingham, UK, and I completed it in 2006. My doctoral research involved enhancing the immunogenicity of plasmid DNA and subunit vaccines through surfactant-based particulate systems (supervisor: Professor Yvonne Perrie). Following the completion of my PhD, I was appointed as a teaching fellow at the School of Life and Health Sciences, Aston University, for a one-year term.
I joined Kingston University London in 2007 as a Lecturer and subsequently became Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics. I have been the Course Leader for the MSc in Pharmaceutical Science / with Management Studies / and Professional Placement courses since 2009.
I lead a research team comprising both PhD and master's students, working on a range of formulation and drug delivery research projects. I regularly serve as a reviewer for several international journals, including the International Journal of Pharmaceutics, the European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, and Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy. I have been an Examiner for several PhD and 'Masters by Research' theses to date.
