I fulfilled the role of course director for many years, especially for students on the MSc Occupational and Business Psychology.
Currently, I am acting as liaison officer for the collaboration between Kingston Business School and the German International School of Management and Administration (Gisma), Berlin, Germany.

Courses taught
My main areas of research interest are employee well-being, diversity in the workplace, and social psychology perspectives within organisational settings (e.g. stereotyping). I am particularly interested in examining joint effects of surface-level (demographic) diversity and deep-level (psychological) diversity. For more specific examples, please see list of selected publications further down this page.
My current research is focused on well-being (e.g. meaning in life) as well as workplace mistreatment (e.g., harassment experiences).
I have been involved with research collaboration, internationally, with Dorothee Alfermann, University of Leipzig, Germany (gender studies), Ursula Athenstaedt, University of Graz, Austria (social psychology), and Nina Mareen Junker, University of Oslo, Norway (work psychology).
I was research group coordinator of the Diversity and Inclusion Research Unit (DIRU), which sat within the business school. Among other things, this group was involved in research about the BME attainment gap in Higher Education. Furthermore, the group contributed to Kingston University's first application for Race Equality Charter Mark (RECM) status, which was recognised by being granted a 'partial' Rose Award (an internal prize).
I am involved with doctoral research as supervisor and internal examiner. Completed doctoral supervisions include:
- (with Georgy Petrov, University of London) Ali Idris Ali Amgheib: "How leadership styles and follower characteristics predict follower work outcomes in Libyan organisations"
- (with Emma Russell, University of Sussex) Gülcihan Selvi Öz: "Ambidextrous leadership as catalyst for innovation ambidexterity in established organisations: A sequential explanatory mixed-method study"
I acted as external PhD examiner for the University of Exeter (leadership studies), research grant proposal reviewer for the German Research Foundation [DFG] (social sciences), ad-hoc reviewer for various academic journals, and I am currently an associate editor of 'Gender in Management: An international Journal'.
