About
I am an Associate Professor in Finance and Head of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics (DAFI) at Kingston Business School. I completed my PhD in Finance at Kingston University and have held academic positions across a number of UK universities.
As Head of Department, I provide strategic and operational leadership for a department that delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across accounting, finance, business analytics, real estate and informatics. I work closely with colleagues to enhance the student experience, support staff development, strengthen research and knowledge exchange activities, and ensure the Department delivers against its academic and strategic objectives.
My research interests focus on risk management, credit risk modelling, corporate reporting, ESG and sustainability disclosure, and the role of financial institutions. My work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, presented at international conferences, and supported through both internal and external research funding.
Alongside my academic work, I am actively involved in executive education and professional training, delivering programmes for professionals from organisations including Bank of America, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA, CGMA) and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
I am also an experienced External Examiner and have contributed to programme validation and review activities across the sector as both a panel member and Chair.
