About
Dr. Miftahur Rahman is a Lecturer in Robotics at Kingston University. With a passion for innovation and solving real world problems, Dr. Rahman focuses on developing advanced algorithms and techniques for robotics application in different fields using UGV and industrial manipulator with open-source software platforms such as ROS/ROS2.
Dr. Rahman completed his PhD from Cranfield University, UK and developed a Robotic Inspection and Repair System for railway tracks with funding from Network Rail UK. Prior to PhD, Dr. Rahman was awarded a Chinese Government Scholarship and passed his MSc from Beijing Institute of Technology, China. He finished his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Professionals, Bangladesh.
His research interests include but are not limited to, application of robotics in different fields, use of AI and LLM for robot and sensor fusion. He has a track record of actively attending multiple conferences and publishing in leading journals.
