About
I am a Lecturer at Kingston Business School, where I have taught since 2021, joining full time in 2024. I completed my PhD at Kingston University in 2025 with a thesis on the dynamics of Initial Coin Offerings, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
My research sits at the intersection of innovation, digital discourse, and entrepreneurial finance. I use natural language processing (NLP), sentiment analysis, and machine learning to understand how digital communities shape market outcomes and consumer behaviour, and how AI is reshaping marketing practice. My work on ICOs has been published in Financial Innovation and Strategic Change, and I have contributed a chapter on crowdfunding to The Palgrave Handbook of Social Finance. Current projects extend into ESG reporting, bibliometric analysis of entrepreneurial finance, and foresight approaches to grand societal challenges.
I am Module Leader for Marketing Analytics, AI and Analytics for Marketing, and Outputs of Marketing, and I have also taught Entrepreneurial Finance, Data in Digital Business, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Growth, and Big Data and Business Analytics for Decision Making. My teaching is research-led and hands-on, incorporating tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau. I supervise postgraduate dissertations in marketing, digital marketing, and entrepreneurial finance.
Before academia, I worked as a Middleware Engineer with Toyota North America and Western Union in the US, and I draw on this industry experience to bring practical cases into my seminars and projects.
