Dr Philip Harris

I graduated from Warwick University with a first class degree in Law.  My postgraduate education was at Sheffield University where I obtained an MA in Socio-Legal Studies (with Distinction) and a PhD on the topic of 'The Legal Moral and the Non-Legal Moral'.

I began teaching at Kingston in 1997 (after teaching at the Universities of Warwick, Sheffield and Hull) and am currently the module leader for the undergraduate Jurisprudence module and also teach on the undergraduate Public Law module.

Since 2008 I have been the Law PhD Programme Leader.  

I am the Departmental Equalities, Disability and Inclusion Officer.

I have received funding from both the Economic and Social Research Council and The British Academy.

I have research interests in Law and Social Theory, Refugee Law and Public Order.
