About
Dr Tawfik Badawy is a senior lecturer in automotive engineering at Kingston University. With a strong background in internal combustion engines, sustainable energy technologies, and fuel cells, his expertise spans engine performance optimization, emissions reduction, and experimental thermofluid sciences.
Dr Badawy has over a decade of academic and research experience, having held positions at Loughborough University, Brunel University London, KAUST, and Cairo University. His research focuses on advancing renewable energy solutions, developing innovative combustion techniques, and applying laser diagnostics in thermofluid systems.
In addition to his research contributions, he plays a key role in teaching and curriculum development. He leads modules such as Automotive Design, Automotive Powertrain, and Fuel Cells, while also supervising final-year and postgraduate research projects. His commitment to higher education excellence is demonstrated by his Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
