About
I am a Senior Lecturer in Law with a particular interest in environmental law, social justice, and legal education.
Since 2016, I have been teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate law courses at Kingston University. I am currently the module leader for Equity and Trusts and Energy and Climate Change Law, and serve as Course Director for the LLB Law and Criminal Justice programme. I have also held roles as Level 4 Year Tutor and Law Society Liaison.
Alongside my role at Kingston, I previously taught undergraduate law and social science courses at University College Croydon. Prior to my academic career, I worked in both the banking sector and local government - experience that informs my interest in law’s interaction with public policy and regulation.
I hold an LLB in International Law from Kingston University and an MSc in Counter Fraud and Counter Corruption from the University of Portsmouth. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and am currently in the final stages of my PhD at Kingston, which explores regulatory responses to marine plastic pollution.
My research interests lie in environmental law, particularly marine plastic pollution and microplastics, as well as climate change, human rights, and climate-induced migration.

Courses taught
I am currently completing my PhD at Kingston University in Environmental Law. My research topic is 'Regulatory matters concerning marine plastic pollution: UK and EU case study'.
Outside of academia, I have several years of experience in private banking and the public sector, where I was involved in developing housing standards enforcement and HMO policies. During my time in local government, I also worked closely with vulnerable families, providing holistic support across a range of areas including housing, education, healthcare, mental health, financial stability, employment, domestic abuse, and parenting.
