About
I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years, specialising in paediatric nursing for more than 16 of these. My career began clinically, including a decade at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where I gained extensive experience in complex care and clinical education through various roles, including practice educator, clinical research nurse, and pre-registration simulation lead. During this time, I also piloted the hospital's first internal mentorship module.
Over the past ten years, I've focused increasingly on clinical education, most recently serving as Head of Clinical Education at The Children’s Trust, Tadworth. In this role, I led strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing care quality for children with complex health conditions through innovative education programmes.
In May 2025, I joined Kingston University as a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Nursing, bringing my passion for leadership, coaching, and evidence-based education into higher education. My areas of special interest include simulation-based training, chronic pain management, epilepsy care, and patient safety.
I am passionate about inspiring and supporting the next generation of nurses through high-quality education. My goal is to equip students not only with essential clinical knowledge and practical skills, but also with the attitudes and resilience needed to deliver compassionate and effective care in today’s evolving healthcare environments.

Domains
I am the current module lead for Complex Care for Children and Young People, where I support student nurses to develop the specialist knowledge, practical skills, and compassionate approach necessary to effectively meet the needs of children with complex healthcare requirements and those receiving palliative care. Through this module, students are prepared to confidently manage intricate clinical scenarios and deliver care that enhances quality of life for patients and their families.
