About
Marco Chan is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation Operations at Kingston University. He brings a decade of commercial flying experience to his teaching and research, having flown for Cathay Pacific Airways and Hong Kong Airlines as an ATPL holder with A320/1 and A330 type ratings.
Before joining Kingston, Marco was Course Leader for the Pilot Programmes at Buckinghamshire New University, where, as Partnerships Lead, he led transnational education partnerships that expanded the institution's international portfolio.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from City University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College London, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS).
Marco's research explores aviation policy, pilot training, and the industry's adoption of artificial intelligence. He provides expert commentary on major aviation events, safety investigations, and industry developments for the BBC, Sky News, CNN, and Reuters.
