About
Prior to starting a second career in academia in 2009 as an hourly paid lecturer, I had mid-level and senior management roles in the manufacturing (building systems, automotive and defence/aerospace), chemicals and telecommunications sectors.
My specialty has been international project management, with a focus on the telecoms industry. During my time at Ameritech and Sprint, I led their international expansion via privatisations. At Ameritech I led their consortium formation, due diligence and competitive bidding process to privatise the Hungarian and Belgian government-owned telecoms monopolies. Later I let Sprint's winning consortium to build a second long-distance carrier in Brazil.
I also gained significant cross-cultural communications experience by helping expand a submarine cable company's operations and services into India and other countries in South Asia and the Middle East.
