About
I am a senior lecturer in Adult Nursing. I qualified as an adult nurse in 2014 from Kingston University, with a BSc Hons in Adult Nursing. I had a successful career as a staff nurse and worked in different clinical settings, namely orthopaedic nursing, gynaecology nursing and Intensive Care nursing. I completed the ITU courses at the University of West London and have used the knowledge and expertise to work across various Intensive care units across London and beyond. During the pandemic, I worked as part of the front-line intensive care nursing team and delivered high quality patient care during the challenging time.
My passion for teaching stemmed from teaching and mentoring student nurses during my clinical experience. This is because I believe in empowerment through education. This passion led me to become a lecturer in Adult Nursing to support student learning utilising pedagogies that facilitate positive students' experience. I am also a link lecturer, a personal tutor, module leader for both Nursing Associates and Adult Nursing modules.
