About
Astrid Rosetti is an art advisor and academic with over a decade of experience in post-war and contemporary art sales, acquisitions, and market analysis. She lectures on the MA Art Business programme at Kingston University, where she supports students in developing a critical understanding of the global art market and bridges academic learning with the realities of professional practice.
In addition to her role at Kingston, she serves as Course Leader at Sotheby’s Institute of Art for art advising short courses and lectures regularly at Hubei University in China within the BA in Art and Digital Media programme. Her teaching draws on both academic and industry experience to guide students through the complexities of collection strategy, art investment, and market dynamics. Her current research and pedagogical interests focus on the global art market, cross-cultural exchange, and the challenge of aligning students’ academic experience with the evolving expectations of the art world.
Alongside her academic work, she founded Rosetti Firmenich Art Advisory, an independent consultancy advising private collectors and institutions on acquisitions, valuations, and collection strategy. She also leads curatorial and institutional projects exploring the intersections of the art market and broader cultural dialogues. In addition, she writes as an art columnist, offering insights into market trends, cultural shifts, and the evolving dynamics of the business art market.
