Language requirements

All students from outside the United Kingdom need to meet our English language requirements. If you don't achieve the required score, you may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Higher/Secondary School Certificate (HSC)

  • International Foundation Year will be required 
 Postgraduate Bachelors degree (4 years) from NARIC recognised university (3-year bachelors degree not accepted):
  • UK 2:1 equivalent: 65% or 3.25 
  • UK 2:2 equivalent: 60% or 3.0
Bachelors degree (4 years) from Top Ten private university:
  • UK 2:1 equivalent: 80% or 2.7-3.0 
  • UK 2:2 equivalent: 70% or 2.25

Kingston University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree preparation programmes for students who need to raise the level of their academic study, whilst improving their English language skills at the same time.
