About the Centre for Practice Research in the Arts (CePRA)
The Centre for Practice Research in the Arts (CePRA) at Kingston School of Art promotes conversations on contemporary art and design. Building on a 140-year legacy of "thinking through making," CePRA supports innovative research across fine art, design, film and performing arts.
The centre encourages experimentation, collaboration and advocacy for creative practitioners globally, building on Kingston's renowned Research Excellence Framework success in 2021.
Recent collaborations of the Centre include projects developed with Tate Modern, Goldsmiths University, Arts and Humanities Research Council, Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) and ITHACA (Interconnecting Histories and Archives for Migrant Agency), EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme.
