Faculty of Business and Social Sciences PhD studentship competition 2021

We are looking for students with expertise that matches our areas of research excellence. Application for these highly competitive research studentships is now open.


Kingston University alumni discount – a 10% reduction on all postgraduate courses (including research degrees) for students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or a masters degree with Kingston University.

Postgraduate Progression Scholarship

A 15% reduction in the tuition fees may be available for undergraduate students completing their degree at Kingston University and progressing directly to enrol on a postgraduate degree in the next academic year. For information regarding eligibility and how to apply, please see My Kingston.

Masters level loans

Masters by Research and MPhil (standalone MPhil not MPhil upgrading to PhD) students starting their degree from September 2016 onwards may apply for a loan of up to £10,000. Home/EU students only. Find out more about postgraduate loans.

PhD loans

From September 2018, the Government introduced loans of up to £25,000 for PhD students. Home/EU students only. For further details please see the government website.
