The Kingston Bursary

There are at least 400 bursaries of £2,000 (in the first year of study) available to 'Home' fee-status students who start an undergraduate course at Kingston University in September 2023.

Eligibility criteria

Eligible students will be identified automatically and you do not need to apply for the bursary. However, please read the 'what you need to do' section below to ensure we can consider your eligibility.

To be eligible for the bursary you must meet all the criteria, which will be published here in Spring 2023. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee a bursary, as there are a limited number available.

What you need to do

To be considered for the Kingston Bursary you should

  • Firmly accept your offer from Kingston University for September 2023 entry
  • Apply for your student finance support from Student Finance England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Student Awards Agency Scotland when their application window opens. You must have a household income assessment completed by the relevant organisation in order to be considered for the Kingston Bursary. We would encourage you to apply early as this process can take some time – without this assessment you cannot be considered for the bursary. You must have Kingston University and your course with us listed as your first choice in your Student Finance application.
  • Fully enrol as a student at Kingston University in September 2023.

What will happen next

We will contact eligible students who have been awarded the Kingston Bursary in Autumn 2023.

Students in receipt of the Kingston Bursary will receive this as a payment in three instalments, paid into the UK bank account you have registered for Student Finance.
