Visiting Students' Orientation

We realise that arriving in a new country and meeting new people may be initially confusing and stressful as well as exciting. Our aim is to make sure that you are prepared for studying at Kingston by arranging a specific tailored orientation session.

Topics covered include:

  • meeting the Study Abroad International Learning (SAIL) Office  team, including receiving contact details and office hours;
  • adjusting to successful learning and teaching in the UK/Kingston system;
  • introduction to the IT and library services;
  • using public transport; 
  • finding out more about a wide range of tours around the UK and in Europe offered by a local tour company; and
  • discussing study plans and timetables (for Study Abroad and international exchange students only). Erasmus students obtain this information from their faculty Erasmus administrator / co-ordinator.

The orientations will take place as follows:

Thursday 12 September - Clattern Lecture Theatre (MB0012) on Penrhyn Road campus.

Study Abroad & International Exchange students (10am  11.50am).

Erasmus students (12 – 12.45pm).

Visiting Students' Enrolment

This event is compulsory for all visiting students.  

Study Abroad and International Exchange Students  Friday 13 September - 10am 12pm,  John Galsworthy Building. 

Erasmus Students  Friday 20 September
