Who is Dr Elisa Back?
Dr Back is the director of the Developing Minds Lab within the Department of Psychology at Kingston University.
Her research area is social-cognitive development in neurotypical and neurodiverse populations across the life-span. Dr Back's current research focuses on how autistic individuals perceive and interpret the world and the impact this has on daily life using a range of methodologies such as eye-tracking.
What is the Psychology Colloquia?
The Psychology Colloquia 2026/27 series is organised by Dr Goffredina Spano from the Department of Psychology at Kingston University.
The annual programme offers ten research talks each academic year. The sessions features either a Kingston University researcher or an invited expert presenting current research, innovative findings and emerging ideas from areas including:
- Developmental psychology
- Cognitive psychology
- Social psychology
- Clinical psychology
- Neuroscience
The series provides opportunities to explore current psychological research, exchange ideas and engage in discussion with researchers and professionals from across the field.
