Kingston Business School's Master of Business Administration (MBA) has once again been recognised among the world’s leading programmes, achieving Tier One status in the CEO Magazine 2026 Global MBA Rankings for the second consecutive year. The accolade places Kingston among a select group of UK business schools featured in one of the most rigorous independent benchmarking exercises in global business education.
A global benchmark for business education
CEO Magazine has been a prominent voice in business education rankings since 2008, launching its annual Global MBA Rankings in 2012. The 2026 edition is the publication's largest to date, profiling 340 programmes across 152 business schools in 24 countries.
The ranking uses a fact‑based methodology designed to offer prospective students a transparent and consistent measure of programme performance. For full-time and part-time MBA programmes, the weighting prioritises faculty quality, international diversity, class size, and institutional accreditation, with additional criteria including faculty-to-student ratio, programme pricing, international exposure, work experience, professional development opportunities, gender parity, and delivery methods.
Recognition of academic excellence
Director of MBA Dr Samar Gad said the Tier One accolade, alongside Kingston's existing AMBA and AACSB accreditations, confirmed the School's place among the world's leading institutions. "The ranking reflects the quality of our outstanding teaching staff, who bring extensive real-world experience in consultancy, leadership, and startups,” she said. “Kingston Business School's MBA ensures students learn from practitioners who have actually driven business transformation.”
"The Kingston MBA goes beyond the classroom by working directly with local businesses and public sector institutions to tackle real challenges, giving students the agency to transform their professional profile into something lasting and impactful. This is not just for their next role, but for their entire career,” she said.
Kingston Business School offers an internationally accredited MBA designed for professionals seeking to develop their leadership and strategic thinking. The programme focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship, and ethical business practices, equipping students with practical tools for navigating complex global challenges. An on-site incubation programme and co-working spaces further support students in developing creative problem-solving and strategic decision-making capabilities.
Developing the human-centric skills that shape business leaders
Head of Kingston Business School, Professor Sankar Sivarajah, said the ranking reflected both the School's academic standing and its commitment to preparing graduates for a rapidly changing world. "We are proud to be recognised at Tier One level in the CEO Magazine global ranking. At Kingston Business School, we believe the future of business education lies in developing the human capabilities that technology cannot replace, including critical thinking, creative problem-solving, adaptability and ethical judgement,” he said.
“These are the qualities employers consistently tell us they need, and they sit at the heart of everything we do. Alongside our prestigious AMBA accreditation and world-class facilities, this recognition affirms that our approach is delivering real value for our students and the businesses they go on to lead."
