Subject sessions and subject zones
Subject sessions are an opportunity for you to learn more about your preferred course. If there are questions you didn't get a chance to ask, or something you want to know more about, you can go to your subject zone and speak with academics one-to-one, at a time to suit you and get involved with our interactive activities.
Some subject sessions are very popular and we always aim to give priority to our prospective students so you may not be able to take all your guests into the subject session with you. Guests are welcome to relax in our waiting area with complimentary tea and coffee or explore the campus.
If you're attending an afternoon subject session, please plan to explore the campus and accommodation before your session. There may not be enough time afterwards to fit in all the tours.
Subject zones
- When: 9.30am–3pm
- Where: Subject zones can be found in the relevant subject session room outside of session times, unless otherwise stated in the printed programme (available to you on the day).
Subject session times
If you can't see your subject of interest in the list below, the Open Day for your course may be held on a different campus.
Top tip: Check the time of your subject talk and plan the rest of your Open Day activities around that.
Shaping your portfolio
Show us what you’ve got so far. Bring a sketchbook, something you’ve made or are still working on, or just photos of your work on your phone.
Talk through your ideas with the Kingston School of Art teaching team and get friendly, practical feedback to help you develop your work and put your portfolio together. You don’t need a finished portfolio to have the conversation.
