About
I am a Lecturer in Developmental Psychology with a passion for exploring how social and developmental psychology intersect within educational settings. As a proud Kingston University alum, where I completed both my MSc and PhD, I was glad to return in September 2022 as a member of the academic staff. I currently lead two exciting modules: Approaches and Professional Skills in Psychology (Level 4) and Social and Developmental Psychology (Level 5), where I enjoy guiding students through key concepts and real-world applications of psychological theory.
My recent research explored the complex process of resilience during the pivotal transition from primary to secondary school. I am particularly interested in how children navigate these changes through an ecological lens, considering the full context of their social and developmental environments. This includes the diverse experiences of children with a visible difference, those who are neurodivergent, and their neurotypical peers. As a qualitative researcher, I am drawn to the rich narratives and lived experiences that give voice to individual and group perspectives.
