My research looks into the broader fit between individuals and organisations. In particular, I research personality traits, workplace stressors, corporate social responsibility, and employer branding, and how they impact employees' wellbeing, performance, and career success. I have a passionate interest in advanced quantitative research methods and use them in my studies.
I collaborate with industry in various research and consultancy projects in the UK and internationally. My research findings and evidence-based recommendations have been extensively used by my partnering organisations. In my doctoral research, I collaborated with a major international bank and researched its branches and operations across 13 countries. I developed an employer brand model and investigated employee responses to the employer brand (e.g., organisational commitment, turnover, in-role performance). My doctoral thesis was approved without corrections and my examiners nominated it for the King's-Elsevier Outstanding Thesis Prize.
More recently, in a project funded by Kingston University, I have collaborated with a leading service organisation in the UK and examined workplace stress among their line managers and its implications for employee wellbeing, engagement, career success, in-role performance, and turnover.
I communicate my research regularly in academic and professional communities. I also serve as an external examiner for the MSc in Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management programme of Birkbeck, University of London.
