Ms Alison Jones

About

I qualified as a physiotherapist from Manchester University and enjoyed over 20 years of clinical work in NHS hospitals in Liverpool and Sheffield, eventually specialising in palliative care at St Christopher's Hospice in Sydenham, south London.

After supervising and teaching many student physiotherapists on clinical placements, I moved into higher education to develop my love of clinical education. I've been at St George's since 2015 in the physiotherapy practice education team, developing and arranging placements and supporting clinicians to teach and supervise learners in practice.

I was seconded to Health Education England in 2019 to work on supervision in Advancing Clinical Practice and continue to work for HEE one day a week on the Expanding Clinical Placements programme.
